Hawaiian Cultural practices and kuleana
NEW ENDEAVORS
LOILOA has embarked on a new kuleana that we are proud to support.
We are working with the community to create hīna'i, lauhala baskets, to re-inter exposed iwi kupuna in a respectful way. When iwi kupuna are exposed by the movement of earth, whether by man or by erosion, they can be wrapped in kapa, then placed in these hīna'i to be returned to the appropriate moku.
Based on the island of Maui, we seek to support, empower, and progress our community by providing high quality resources in a safe and secure learning environment.
